short announcement: AGIT 2014 deadline

Folks, it’s still some time until the AGIT takes place in the good old Mozart city Salzburg. But the dealine for poster and papers is already the 1st of February. SO hurry up to place your abstracts! If you’re non-German speaker/writer you can place your abstract at the international GI-Forum.
As the AGIT and the GI-Forum are huge conferences in European based GIS/GEO context the list of themes is quite impressive:

  • applied geoinformatics
  • openGovernment and openData
  • landscape, climate and hydrology
  • mangament of ressources and energy
  • mobility
  • security management
  • natural hazards and riskmanagement 2.0
  • Real Time Solutions and Smart Cities
  • GIS in health
  • geoinfrastructure
  • Laserscanning
  • remote sensing, image analysis
  • dynamic modelling
  • cartography and visualizations
  • GeoWeb 2.0 for planning
  • INSPIRE: infrastructures and services
  • free geodata and OpenSource GI-Software
  • people as sensors and collective sensing (VGI)

The prices for the family friendly conference are affordable as I think. GI-Forum and AGIT starts at 100€ for students. It takes place at the University of Salzburg:
